The European consumer test organization Euro NCAP has for the first time ever assessed the safety of heavy-duty trucks. Volvo's best-selling models, the Volvo FH and the Volvo FM, both received the top rating of five stars. The Volvo FM also had the best overall test result among all tested trucks.

Busy traffic situations pose daily safety risks to vulnerable road users. This is why Volvo Trucks is introducing two safety systems focusing on protecting pedestrians and cyclists.

Volvo is increasing the use of low-CO2-emission steel* in its trucks. This steel is produced with recycled material and fossil-free energy and will be used in tens of thousands of Volvo trucks starting next year.
